In 2018 I teamed up with fashion designer Stefanie Nieuwenhuyse to create a series of images celebrating ballerinas. Along with former member of The Royal Ballet Karis Scarlette and dancer Rachel Tolzman they created a stunning collection of images that went on to become ‘The Ballerina’
Ballet dancers are the epitome of elegance and grace, but behind all that poise and refinement is years of practice, aching muscles, bloody feet, emotional distress and a driving determination for perfection.
In this collection I wanted to create art pieces that are visual manifestations of the life of a ballerina.
